The week in review

Space shuttle astronaut Lisa Nowak was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted first-degree murder. Orlando, Fla., police said Nowak attacked Colleen Shipman because she thought Shipman was a rival for the affections of astronaut William Oefelein. Police found pepper spray, a knife, a steel mallet and a BB gun in Nowak's car. The astronaut was released on bail, ordered to stay away from Shipman and must wear a personal tracking device. NASA officials said they are reviewing their psychological testing procedures for active and prospective astronauts.

SpiceJet Launches Web Check-in

Commented Siddhanta Sharma, CEO, SpiceJet Ltd., "SpiceJet's unique Web Check-in service provides seamless and hassle-free air travel experience. The new facility thereby also helps in making check-in counters at airports less crowded. It saves lots of time of passengers."

This service not only allows passengers to select their preferred seat but also facilitates the printing of the boarding passes for the same day's return flight. The Web Check-in service, however, does not entertain cancellations or modification requests once the passenger uses this facility. This facility is not available for passengers traveling with infant(s), passengers using wheelchairs and unaccompanied minor(s).

To avail the facility, the passenger needs to have a valid photo identity like passport or driving licence issued by a Government authority.

THIS IS ENGLAND, CONCLUSION

I see all group social interaction through the lens of high school cliques and structures. I dont think this is all that off-base a way to look at the world, since I dont think many of us ever really make it past high school either our best days were there or we still bear the psychic scars of our adolescence. Either youre clinging to who you were in high school or running away from that person. On the trip to London it was easy to see how everyone in the group fell into high school archetypes, and it only got easier on the final night, when a bunch of people stayed up all night and acted like a group of juniors on an overnight trip, drinking their first beers. Which is sort of delightful, I must admit. But that was the second half of the night. The first half of that final night involved the Hot Fuzz gang, and the mysterious disappearance of Drew McWeeny.
